Marianmade Farm Wedding, Wiscasset, Maine | Liz & Chris
August in Maine on the water, gathered on a lavender farm with friends and family, eating lobster and drinking cocktails underneath a summer sky. That is how to do a relaxed yet, oh so sophisticated, wedding in Maine. Chris and Liz nailed it for their wedding weekend at Marianmade Farm in Wiscasset, which kicked off with a lobster bake rehearsal dinner underneath a clear top tent by the Sheepscot River, and culminated in two days of perfect Maine weather — not too hot in the day, and not too cold at night. Inspired by the lavender which grows in abundance on the property, purple was a recurring theme in their floral palette, as well as shades of blues, and a nod to Maine in the groomsmen’s lobster neckties. From start to finish, these two orthopaedic surgeons who met as residents while working in San Francisco, were riding on a cloud as they graciously and warmly celebrated the beginning of a new life together. Their joy was infectious, contagious, and unabashed. You couldn’t help but feel moved and share in their excitement, as their friends and family paid tribute to and commemorated them in their new union with much dancing, much love, and much merriment.
To Liz and Chris, we wish you many happy and beautiful years together as husband and wife!
